Day 15: Recharging the Batteries and Casual Neighborhood Wandering

Sunday was all about taking a deep breath after our massive trek to the desert. When you are halfway through a month-long exchange, you absolutely need dedicated days to just slow down, reflect, and live like a local.
Here is how we spent a perfectly relaxing Sunday in Tbilisi:
1. Finding Hidden Street Corners
Instead of booking a structured tour or hitting the crowded tourist hubs, we walked out of the apartment with zero plans. We spent the afternoon just wandering through the quieter side streets of Tbilisi. The city is full of beautiful, crumbling Italian-style courtyards, hidden street art, and tiny neighborhood bakeries. Stepping away from the main roads gave us a much better feel for what day-to-day life actually looks like for the people who live here.
2. Pure Apartment Chill
The rest of the day was dedicated to pure comfort. We caught up on sleep, sorted through our photos from the Rainbow Mountains, and relaxed in the apartment. Taking a day to just kick back, cook some familiar food, and rest our feet was exactly what we needed to prepare for the upcoming week.
Student to Student Tip: Don't let FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) ruin your Sundays! Taking time to rest isn't a wasted day—it’s how you keep your energy up so you don't burn out before the exchange ends.
