With the finish line of our exchange program rapidly approaching, Wednesday was all about tying up loose ends at the school and getting a unique behind-the-scenes look at how the entire institution runs.

Here is how our penultimate school day unfolded:

1. Finishing Up the Work

Kai and I spent the first half of the day focused entirely on our laptops. Now that our presentations and lessons are successfully out of the way, we used this time to finish up our remaining project tasks, document our work, and make sure everything we’ve built or prepared over the last few weeks is neatly organized for the local staff before we depart.

2. The Grand Faculty Meeting

In the afternoon, we were invited to attend a massive, school-wide teacher meeting. This wasn't just a small departmental huddle—it was a major gathering that brought together educators from all the different faculties across the institution.

It was incredibly interesting to sit in and observe the big-picture planning, collaboration, and discussions happening between the different academic departments.

3. A Proper Georgian Coffee Break

Of course, it wouldn't be a Georgian meeting without incredible hospitality. During a long break in the session, the school put out a fantastic spread of food and drinks for all the teachers. We got to mingle with the staff, chat informally about our time in Tbilisi, and enjoy some final delicious local snacks together.

Student to Student Tip: Being invited into staff-only events like a major faculty meeting is a huge sign of respect from your host school. Even if you don't understand every word of the internal logistics, show up, dress well, and use the social breaks to thank the teachers from other departments who helped make your exchange possible!

With our tasks wrapped up and our bellies full of meeting snacks, we headed back to the apartment for our final Wednesday night in town. Hard to believe tomorrow is our absolute last official day at the school!
